Actually Keto Privacy Policy

Actually Keto is made by Up Coast Digital Products, Inc. ("Up Coast", "we", "us"), a company in British Columbia, Canada. This policy describes the personal information the Actually Keto iOS app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
1. Information stored on your device
Actually Keto stores the following on your device only. It is not sent to us, and we have no server that receives it:
- Profile: age, height, weight, sex, diet mode and ratio, training settings and preferences, used to calculate your targets.
- Logged information: foods, portions, recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and readings you enter, such as weight, ketones and glucose. This is health information and is used only to display your own history and progress.
- Onboarding answers, used to configure the app.
This information is protected by your device's encryption and is included in your device backups to iCloud or a computer if you have enabled them. Those backups are governed by Apple's terms.
2. Apple Health
With your permission, Actually Keto reads workouts from Apple Health (type, duration, energy burned and distance of the current day's workouts) while the app is open, to calculate training-day carbohydrate adjustments. It does not write to Apple Health. Apple Health data is not sent off your device, used for advertising, shared or sold. You may withdraw this permission in your device's Settings, under Health.
3. Notifications
With your permission, Actually Keto schedules reminders on your device, such as a reminder before a free trial ends. You may turn notifications off in your device's Settings.
4. Subscription information
Apple processes every payment. We never see your card or bank details. RevenueCat confirms whether your subscription is active. It receives your purchase history and a random identifier for the app installation. It does not receive your name, email address or logged information. RevenueCat's privacy policy governs the information it holds.
5. Service providers
Personal information is shared only with Apple (App Store, payments and notifications) and RevenueCat (subscription status). Both may process information outside Canada, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Actually Keto does not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone input or advertising identifiers, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software. We do not sell personal information.
6. Deletion
You may delete any entry in the app. Deleting the app deletes all information it stored on your device. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own terms and applicable tax law. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription; cancel it in your device's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
7. Your rights
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent, wherever you live. Send requests to apps at upcoast dot ca. We respond within 30 days.
We are subject to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live outside Canada, you may also have rights under the law of your country, including the right to complain to its privacy regulator.
8. Children
Actually Keto is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Security
Information Actually Keto stores on your device is protected by the device's encryption. Information the app sends is encrypted in transit. If a breach of our security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will give notice in the app before the change takes effect.
