Neori Terms of Use
Up Coast Digital Products, Inc.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Up Coast governing your use of the Neori iOS app. Neori is made by Up Coast Digital Products, Inc. ("Up Coast", "we", "us"), a company in British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or using Neori, you agree to these terms. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
1. The service
Neori generates audio meditations from text you enter. The script is written by Anthropic's Claude and the audio is produced by ElevenLabs. You can play, save and share meditations within the app.
2. Not medical care
Neori is not medical care, therapy, mental-health treatment or a crisis service, and does not provide medical advice. Seek help from a qualified professional for any health concern. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Do not use Neori while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention.
3. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Neori. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account in the app at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions, trials and limits
Generating meditations requires a subscription purchased through the App Store. Each account may generate one short meditation without a subscription.
- Annual plan: billed yearly. New subscribers receive a 3-day free trial. If the trial is not cancelled before it ends, the annual price is charged. The first annual payment adds 5 bonus meditation credits.
- Monthly plan: billed monthly. No free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged.
- Apple handles payments and refunds under its own terms. We cannot issue App Store refunds; you can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy.
Limits. A subscription includes up to 30 meditations per month and up to 3 per day. Bonus credits may be used beyond the daily limit. The app shows your remaining allowance. We may change these limits with notice in the app. Saved meditations remain playable regardless of limits.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the text you enter. You grant us permission to process it, including sending it to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy, solely to generate your meditations and operate Neori.
Meditations generated for you are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use within the app. You may not sell them or use them commercially.
A share link allows any signed-in Neori user who has it to play the meditation and view its script and the text you entered. Deleting the meditation disables its links.
You may not use Neori to generate unlawful, hateful or harmful content, or to make the service do anything other than generate meditations. We may refuse requests and suspend accounts that breach these terms.
6. AI-generated content
Meditations are generated by AI on request and are not reviewed by a person before you hear them. They may contain errors. Report any meditation that is inaccurate or harmful to us at the address below.
7. Availability
Neori relies on third-party services, and generation may fail or be delayed. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Neori, we will give subscribers notice in the app, and refunds for unused periods are handled by Apple.
8. Your licence to use Neori
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Neori on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow. Neori's name, design, artwork, text and software belong to Up Coast. These terms give you no other rights in them.
You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with Neori or the services it uses, get around its subscription checks or limits, try to reach other people's data, or use Neori for anything unlawful.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and Up Coast, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Neori or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim about it, including product liability claims, claims that it does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection or privacy claims. If Neori fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for it. If someone claims that Neori infringes their intellectual property, Up Coast, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with that claim. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a United States government embargo or listed as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
10. No warranty
Neori is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will suit a particular purpose.
11. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, Up Coast is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Neori. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid for Neori in the 12 months before the claim and 50 Canadian dollars.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
12. Ending
You can stop using Neori at any time. Stopping does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your iPhone's Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring them where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top and, for an important change, tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using Neori after that means you accept the new terms.
